Konica Minolta Unveils OPS Global Customer Portal

20 Sep 2011

Customers Gain Web-based Access to Devices and Printing Cost Information

Konica Minolta Business Technologies, Inc. (Konica Minolta) has released a new customer portal site for Global Major Account (GMA) customers.

Konica Minolta started promoting its Optimized Print Services (OPS)[1] globally about one year ago. The unified global OPS approach was adopted to support multinational enterprises in optimizing their printing infrastructure and ensure their satisfaction related to asset management, cost transparency and reduction, and standardized processes on a global scale. With the global development of OPS, Konica Minolta in particular meets the requirements of Global Major Account clients whose operations span the world.

The new OPS Global Customer Portal supports global enterprise customers in managing their global assets and related costs with web-based reports. While the installations of printing devices and software products as well as service offerings for global customers are obviously handled locally, the global administrators in such enterprises need to monitor billing transactions and cost control on a global level.

Iain Barnfield, National Manager of Konica Minolta OPS says, “The OPS Portal allows Konica Minolta Australia to offer multinational customers the real benefits of a truly global print infrastructure contract, whilst meeting the unique needs associated with the local Australian offices.

“The portal enables Konica Minolta Australia to apply the financial benefits gained from a global agreement, locally. We can track and report on providing consistent levels of service in metro, regional and remote locations right across the country in accordance with a global contract.”

Using the OPS Global Customer Portal, Australia’s administrators can now easily access all their latest print fleet related information from around the world.

In this initial release, the area accessible through the portal includes those countries where global enterprise customers generally require more device installations. These presently include the U.S.A., Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Australia, and Japan.

From now on, Konica Minolta will continuously develop this portal by increasing the number of countries, soon enabling our GMA customers to manage their whole global print and document infrastructure via this site.
