Konica Minolta Business Solutions Australia today launches WeOptimise Cloud, a platform from which it will release a portfolio of Cloud-based solutions for Australian businesses.
Services hosted on WeOptimise Cloud will be central to Konica Minolta’s ability to give customers scalable, agile solutions, solving their IT and business documentation needs and helping them grow. The platform will bring Konica Minolta closer to its customers as a partner and is crucial to its Transformation 2016 plan.
WeOptimise is an off-premise private cloud providing hosted Software-as-a-Service solutions. The first to be offered is an Enterprise Content Management Service, which will enable customers to improve the way they process and manage content and automate workflows, with the added benefits of security and flexibility that the cloud offers. Provided with the support of Konica Minolta’s consulting services, the solution will be fully flexible and tailored to best meet customer’s needs.
The WeOptimise Data Center is hosted in Australia, ensuring data sovereignty and one of the highest levels of security available in the world.
“Our new solution meets growing end-user demand to improve document workflow solutions and buy software as a service. It also positions us for greater influence in the way our customers consume, manage and pay for IT services;” comments Mike Dooner, Product Marketing Manager, Document Management Solutions, Konica Minolta Australia.
Kokhua Ho, Regional Systems Manager at Menzies Aviation and a new client of WeOptimise, comments: “The appeal of this solution is that it is totally outsourced and completely simple for the user, whether they are in-house or external. It is transparent and really optimal for our needs.”
Market demand for Cloud services has never been higher and most organisations are planning to increase their budget for cloud-based solutions. It is driven by a need to de-capitalise IT costs and automate operations, as well as forecast supply and demand. Cloud services are providing customers with models of working that save capital expenditure and enable them to be flexible and responsive to change.
“Globally, business agility has now become the main advantage delivered by Cloud computing. In the initial phase of Cloud, the key metric was cost reduction. However, as organisations look to aggressively innovate in their markets, the ability to enter new markets, create new products and services and “punch above their weight” - all still underpinned by cost savings - has now become the big game changer;” adds Stevan Caldwell, National Marketing Manager, Konica Minolta Australia .
Konica Minolta has partnered with FileBound because it offers a Cloud-native document and workflow solution in a powerful and feature-rich solution. It is incredibly user-friendly and intuitive, offering a clean interface and fast navigation as well as a range of other benefits
Immediate access to documents
Improved security and control of documents

Operational cost reduction through improved efficiencies

Although organisations want to benefit from the freedom of Cloud computing, many may have not planned their strategy. Konica Minolta makes it easy for them to rationalise what they need, install the right data capture software and maximise the benefits of the service to their workflow and printing costs. Konica Minolta will offer its customers WeOptimise as part of the in-depth review of organisational processes behind all hardware and software sales.
“WeOptimise Cloud services is a further example of Konica Minolta building on its award-winning multifunction printers to deliver services that help customers reduce costs, increase productivity, improve data security and greater sustainability;” said Stevan Caldwell, Marketing Manager at Konica Minolta.
