What Happens to Your E-Waste?
When you recycle your e-waste through our Rethink e-Recycling program, you can be confident it’s managed responsibly from start to finish. All items are collected and transported by ANZRP’s approved partners to accredited facilities across Australia, where they are carefully disassembled and processed. Using industry-leading recycling methods, more than 90% of materials including metals, plastics, glass, and circuit boards are recovered and reintroduced into manufacturing for use in new products. This process reduces landfill, keeps harmful substances out of the environment, and supports the circular economy, ensuring your old tech gets a second life.
Did you know your old tech could come back in surprising new forms? The metals recovered from e-waste can be used in everything from jewellery to car parts, while plastics may be recycled into items like outdoor furniture or construction materials. Even glass from monitors and TVs can be processed into tiles or insulation. By recycling, you’re not just clearing out clutter, you’re helping create the raw materials for the products and infrastructure we use every day.
Let’s make this a big success! Bring your e-waste, spread the word to your friends and family, and help us build a cleaner, greener future.
