National Manufacturing Week (NMW) 2018 has wrapped up and, for the fourth consecutive year, Konica Minolta saw an unprecedented amount of interest in Additive Manufacturing at Sydney Showground.
Konica Minolta 3D Specialist, Cameron Beech noted It was great to see many innovative designers and manufacturers, with interesting challenges and ideas, from a broad cross section of Australian Industries, who are either seriously looking at, or investing in Additive Manufacturing Solutions, for end parts production".
Additional highlights during the week include:
- Amiga Engineering, our 3D direct metal printing customer, showing off their ProX DMP 320 series metal parts on the stand and discussing the importance of partnership
- Konica Minolta 3D Printing Specialist, Ben Darling, captivating the audience in a discussion about 3D production materials, as an invited panellist of an Inside 3D Printing Conference session
- Interest in Automation and many questions generated about Konica Minolta’s soon to be released Collaborative Service Robot Solution in partnership with Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR).
What Konica Minolta displayed at NMW
Attendees received a first look at the 3D SYSTEMS Figure 4 Standalone system, part of a wider family of Figure 4 technologies. These cutting edge Digital Light Printing (DLP) systems, deliver the industry’s first scalable, modular, fully-integrated 3D printing platform with ultra-fast speed, enabling throughput improvement up to 15 times and up to 20 per cent lower parts cost.
Also as an exclusive preview for the Australian market, was the 3D SYSTEMS FabPro 1000, an entry-level industrial 3D printer ideal for engineering and jewellery production. The FabPro 1000 raises the bar for entry-level industrial 3D printing, producing high-quality parts with lightning speed, remarkably low operating costs, and unsurpassed ease of use.
